L’autore, che si autodenuncia, ha eluso la sorveglianza ed è riuscito ad appendere la sua opera “Orgasmo Spray”.

L’esponente del neo pop concettuale è riuscito nell’impresa grazie alle ridotte dimensioni. Inoltre l’ha corredata di una targhetta illustrativa totalmente identica per grafica e misure a quelle utilizzate nel museo.

La targhetta illustrativa riporta: “Luan Scaringella (Roma, 1967) – Orgasmo spray (2010) – Come ‘sarcasmo’ sull’umana trivialità – intesa come denaro, vizio e soddisfazione primaria. Da oggi, disponibile in confezione spray”.

L’artista, che si autodenuncia, ha così giustificato il suo atto da artista clandestino che definisce terrorismo artistico: “Il movente? Sognavo di esporre al Maxxi. Una notte, ho sognato di esporre al Maxxi. Un giorno, la mia opera è stata esposta al Maxxi”. L’artista ha anche documentato fotograficamente tutta l’operazione.

Per Pio Baldi, il presidente della Fondazione Maxxi, quella di Scaringella è stata “una performance anche piacevole ed arguta, visto che è la prima volta che si verifica. Il proprietario può venirsi a riprendere la sua opera quando lo desidera”.

The Millennium Galleries, together with the Winter Garden and the Peace Gardens form Sheffield’s Heart of the City Project, that has transformed the area.

The Bessemer Gallery is named after the nineteenth century British inventor Sir Henry Bessemer who devised a process for the mass production of steel from iron, which revolutionised steel production and created the wealth upon which the City of Sheffield is founded.
